An Accredited Practising Dietitian

My name is Paula Carroll, and I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian.  I have over 18 years’ clinical experience working across Sydney in numerous adult tertiary and referring hospitals, including Prince of Wales Hospital, Westmead Hospital, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Concord Repatriation General Hospital.


Having gained extensive experience working with clients, caregivers and multidisciplinary teams across many complex clinical areas, I know how important the right nutrition is for quality of life. 


My areas of expertise include:

  • Spinal cord injury (Prince of Wales Hospital Spinal Injury Unit, Spinal Pressure Care Clinic, Spinal Master Class)
  • Motor neurone disease (Prince of Wales Hospital MND MDT clinic, Masters Research Project)
  • Multiple sclerosis (Prince of Wales Hospital MS Clinic)
  • Epilepsy (Prince of Wales Hosptial Statewide Epilepsy Service)
  • Genetic and developmental neurological conditions (Prince of Wales Hospital Genetic Metabolic Outreach Clinic)

My Philosophy

My aim is to make a positive difference in the lives of adults with complex nutrition needs. I am passionate about every client’s wellbeing, and supporting them to meet their nutritional needs to thrive and achieve their life goals.


Caring, compassion, and the delivery of person-centred nutrition care is at the core of my values. I believe that it is imperative to:

  • actively give clients and caregivers a say in the decision-making  process when planning their nutrition care
  • respect clients’ and caregivers’ individual preferences, diversity and nutrition goals.
